Terms of Service

Last Updated: December 2025

By submitting your pitch deck to Capital.my, you agree to the following terms:

1. Confidentiality

We treat all submitted materials as confidential. Your deck will only be shared with investors if:

  • Your deck scores 8+ on our evaluation framework, AND
  • You explicitly grant permission for introduction

2. No NDAs

We do not sign NDAs for initial deck reviews. All materials are handled with strict confidentiality and only shared with relevant investors when you qualify and provide permission. If your materials contain trade secrets that cannot be disclosed without an NDA, please do not submit.

3. Evaluation Process

  • We provide feedback within 72 hours on a best-efforts basis
  • Our scoring is subjective and based on investor criteria used by VCs, PEs, and family offices
  • Feedback is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
  • A high score does not guarantee funding or investor interest

4. No Advisory Relationship

Our deck review and feedback does not constitute:

  • Formal investment advice or recommendations
  • A commitment to invest or facilitate investment
  • A fiduciary relationship of any kind
  • Legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory advice

You should consult with qualified professionals for specific advice related to your situation.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights, title, and interest in your submitted materials. By submitting, you grant Capital.my and its principals a limited, non-exclusive license to review, evaluate, and (with your permission) share your deck with investors for the purposes described in these terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

Capital.my, its principals, affiliates, and associated entities are not liable for:

  • Investment outcomes, whether positive or negative
  • Timing or success of fundraising efforts
  • Third-party investor decisions or actions
  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our feedback, introductions, or services
  • Unauthorized access to or use of submitted materials despite our security measures

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us (if any) in connection with the specific matter giving rise to the claim.

7. Data Usage and Privacy

We may use anonymized, aggregate data from submissions for research, market analysis, and improving our services. We will never publicly identify your company or disclose confidential information without your explicit permission.

For details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Eligibility

By submitting, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the authority to submit the materials on behalf of your company
  • The materials do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
  • All information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
  • You are seeking legitimate business funding and not engaged in any fraudulent activity

9. No Guarantee of Service

We reserve the right to decline to review any submission at our sole discretion, including but not limited to submissions that:

  • Fall outside our focus areas or investment criteria
  • Are incomplete or do not meet minimum quality standards
  • Come from companies or individuals we are unable to work with for any reason

10. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Capital.my regarding the use of our services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
